The National Farmers Union in NB is pleased to formally announce the winners of the 2015 NFU-NB Scholarship and David Frost Memorial Scholarship, awarded to NB high school graduates pursuing an education in agriculture or a related field.  Chair of the Scholarship Selection Committee, Harold Culberson, of Waterville, Carleton County, made the announcement at the National Farmers Union Region 1 Annual Convention on August 11, 2015.

We wish you both good luck in your studies!

Tyler Culberson is the recipient of the $500 David Frost Memorial Scholarship for a student entering a diploma program.  Tyler will be studying carpentry at the Woodstock Community College so that he can gain more practical skills to help on the farm.

Members of the NFU-NB scholarship committee chose the winners from deserving applications submitted around the province. Selection is based on the applicants’ commitment to study agriculture or a related field, and on their performance in high school, as well as their involvement in agriculture and financial need. The David Frost Memorial scholarships were established by the NFU-NB four years ago to honour the memory of the David Frost, a respected agrologist who passed away in March, 2010.

Scholarship applications will be available again this fall from high school guidance counselors throughout the province and from members of the NFU-NB.
