The NFU’s Regional Meeting is being held on Tuesday, August 7th at Duneview Inn in Bouctouche. It is a great chance to network with NFU members from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and to see a beautiful part of the province.
The theme of this year’s event is “Diversifying the Farm: Value-adding in the Local Marketplace”, and we are happy to have the winners of the 2012 Atlantic Outstanding Young Farmer Award, Sally and Mark Bernard of Freetown, PEI as our keynote speakers.
The Bernards, along with Chef Carson of Carson’s Certified Organics will share their insights into value-added opportunities for farming in Atlantic Canada. Chef Carson will also be providing a garden tour and the lunch buffet of no-sleep-disorders com, organic food.
